High school students can enroll in college courses during the fall, spring, and summer terms.

Eligibility
  • High school juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible.
  • Students enrolled in the Non-Degree High School Program pay regular tuition and mandatory student fees.
  • Students can take a maximum of two courses (6 credit hours) during a semester.
  • Students are eligible for 100 and 200 level courses and must meet course prerequisites and receive departmental approval to enroll. Your advisor will assist you to obtain departmental approval and register for classes. 300- 500 level courses will not be approved for enrollment.
  • After 12 attempted credits a grade point average of 2.5 or higher must be maintained to continue in Undergraduate Non-Degree seeking status (with a maximum total limit of 30 attempted credits).

Supplemental Application Materials
  • High school transcript(s)
  • A letter from a high school counselor stating student is eligible for the course
  • An acknowledgement from a parent/guardian stating student can enroll (Acknowledgement form will be sent to parent/guardian after application is submitted)
  • SAT/ACT test scores (for math and physics courses)
  • AP/IB test results (if the course has a prerequisite)

  • Step 1: Complete the Pre-College Academic Year Application

    Complete and submit the Pre-College Academic Year Application. Upon submitting, you will be asked to pay a $75 nonrefundable application fee. 

    As part of your application you will need:

    • Basic contact information for you and your parent or guardian.
      • Please include your full legal name as written on your birth certificate. 
      • Use a personal, non-school email. (Many high school email accounts block external emails). Parent or guardian email address should not be used for student email. 
    • Name and email address for your school counselor. 
    • Your parent or guardian to confirm your intent to apply 
    • Pay the $75 nonrefundable application fee

  • Step 2: Log in to your Pre-College Status Portal Access

    After you apply, we will send you an acknowledgment email with instructions on how to log in to the Pre-College Status Portal to track your application. Access to the Pre-College Status Portal will be given 48-72 hours after you complete Step 1 of your application.

  • Step 3: Upload Supplemental Documents

    Upload your transcript(s), school counselor letter, and test scores (when applicable). Check your program details for specific requirements.

  • Step 4: Monitor Your Pre-College Status Portal

    Continuously check your Pre-College Status Portal to ensure you have completed all the required steps. Your application will be reviewed when all required documents are submitted.
